Caption: Some of our winter birds showed up today! A flock of Dark-eyed Juncos descended on my bird feeders. They most likely spent their summer in Canada and will winter on the south side of the Great Lakes.

Wow they are back early, my friend just posted on her facebook today that the Junco's were out in her backyard this morning. We live in the Laurel Highland region of Pennsylvania. I sooo enjoy the Junco's that frequent my birdfeeder all winter. They stayed here later into June this summer, I remember wondering if maybe they were just going to stay here all summer. Thanks for sharing your pics with us. Have a nice weekend all!

Thanks Doug! They are very friendly birds. The Juncos and Chickadees really brighten up the long dark days of winter in this area. :-)

Just love juncos! We have the Yellow-Eyed Junco here in our Southern Arizona mountains. They are such friendly hiking companions.
Great shot. Thanks for sharing.
