Nice picture. There is more here than one sees at a quick glance.

Taking the liberty of downloading a copy to make some subtle, easy enhancements, I added ambient light, bringing out more detail in the birds, and could then see that one of them is facing you, not away. Also I removed the bit of wire which intruded into the lower left of the scene.

At first, it appears to be the typical bird on wire shot. Then notice the gap between one bird and the other, giving it character. Then see the one bird looking right at you, which creates a personal connection, intimacy, and also adds whimsy.

About backwardguy

backwardguy

My wife of 42 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I was an elementary school teacher for 29years. I retired at the end of June 2015 and have been working hard ever since!. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.Click for weather forecast
