From the top of Alaska(Barrow) back down to the Bottom of Alaska better known as the 'Gateway City to Alaska', Ketchikan. Bucho (my dog) and I have finished our Arctic adventures for now and have returned home where I was born and raised, were our little cottage by the sea is, the rainforest, the ever changing weather...and yes, my family. People used to ask me if the rain bothered me? I knew no different so no, one just learns to be creative about how they look at the weather in Ketchikan. With over 180 inches of rain per year here, there are many gray days and wet days...but there is MUCH beauty also...I have shown you the Arctic, now I will show you the rainforest and Southeast Alaska. enjoy!! Caption: I am back in Barrow for a few weeks. Driving out the road about 2pm, althought I have photographed them previously, I had to take another photo of the famous Baleen Palm trees that stand so proud as Barrow's only trees. Not wind or blizzards have disturbed them in the many years they have been there.
