Caption: I haven't seen a doe with any of the seven yearlings. Normally the fawns stay with Mom all summer, learning from her the survival tricks like stomping a warning, caution when entering the open field, smelling strangers etc. None of these seven have been taught anything. They play like normal youngsters, but without adult skills they will need when hunting season begins.

About Nikongranny

Nikongranny

Old, retired with lots of time on my hands and a Nikon. Lucky for me, there is a park just north of town that provides me with migrating birds and sunsets. Since joining this site, I have a new appreciation for this scenic world we live in. I especially love the comments from so many great people on here.
