Fort Bragg, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The forest where I took these shots was filled with drifts of these tiny mushrooms, popping up everywhere. It was an insanely cute, vaguely terrifying and magical landscape; there was no sound but a very soft crackling right at the edge of my hearing. Don't know what was making the noise. Didn't help that there was a walk through a nearby cemetery to get here, a deep, strange hole to the sea only feet away, and sunset was approaching. I left shortly after snapping these photos.

Thanks for the audio description. It certainly adds to the experience of seeing the photo. I imagine there were musty smells, too.
