Caption: This is the second lighthouse built to help navigators in the Winchester Bay vicinity. The first one was lit in 1857, but collapsed due to tidal erosion in 1863. This one was first lit in 1894. Built at the same time as Heceta Head Light, it was built from the same plans and is virtually identical to its more northern sister.
