The winter of 77-78 was'nt a warmer than average winter..While extreme arctic air has not plagued the US most of the winter thus far, much below average temperatures for most of the US,have been well below average..Warmer winters typcially "dont" produce greater snowfalls..There is solidly no basic scientific basis to support warmer winters equalling more snow..The winters of the 90's were much warmer and produced none of the snowfalls we are witnessing.
