Caption: A gorgeous sunrise on the beach just behind our rented house... The wooden walkway in the background is the access point for all of the neighbors on the street. The sand ripples as the tide goes out and tidal pools hold moisture that reflect the pretty colors of dawn...Jekyll Island, Georgia...
Image Description: Jekyll Island Georgia is the most interesting place on the coast of Georgia. Many of the beaches have driftwood and large oak trees that have been pulled into the surf from years of storms and beach erosion. At low tides, the tidal pools reflect the glorious colors of the clouds at sunrise. The wet sand is rippled from waves coming in and out as the tide recedes. In the background are rocks that have been added to preserve the beach's sand. There are many access points to the beach from the many neighborhoods along the coast. One of those wooden walkway bridges can be seen from this vantage point.
