Where The World Ends

Sierra Nevada, CA

Caption: This is the view north from the summit of Mt. Langley (14,026 ft) via the Northeast Couloir after a very nice 2-day climb. I woke up at 1:30 am at camp on day 2 in order to climb to the summit at sunrise. For many hours, it was me alone in the couloir in pitch black, listening to the steady crunching sounds as my ice axe and crampons came in contact with the ice. It was an awesome feeling.
