Valley Stream, NY (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: What a Memorial Weekend here in the U.S. Friday's weather was terrible. Saturday's weather was 10 times worse with 40mph winds, cold and rainy, that the Jones Beach Air Show was cancelled. Sunday, yesterday, the weather turned for the better but with strong winds. The air show was a go. The clouds were beautiful but it was cold. Because of budget cuts the U.S. Thunderbirds were not showcased but the Canadian CF-18 Demonstration Team was the main attraction. Thank you Canada.

Too bad that the US's own Thunderbirds or Blue Angels can't fly on what is supposed to be a day to honor our brave military folks who gave their lives to keep us free. Sad state of affairs in Washington DC.. Thanks, Canada, for stepping up to the plate.
