Quoting mactoot:
SWEET IMAGE!! Love the moons! Was this a composite? I tried to capture it but the difference in brightness between the moon and Jupiter was way too much for a simple camera at 200 mm telephoto.
It was, from two exposures.

Thanks everyone!

I want to see this, but I can't find the moon out my window. What direction do I have to be looking to see the moon? And do I want to go outside when the windchill is -25 out?

Great photo! I was planning on doing a series tonight starting at 6 p.m. and on the hour and hoped to get the Jovian moons. BUT....we have solid clouds in St. Louis. Beautiful shot! Should be AC!!!!!!!!!!

synthman19872003

An avid photographer of weather/nature ever since 2003 and have been a member of WU for over 5 years now.. it's been a journey I can tell ya that, learning something new every day! I firmly believe a photographer (and his/her work) is just like a fine wine, it mellows with age; so if that's the case I still have some mellowing to do :)Anyway, hope you enjoy my pics!- Matt
