Juneau averages around 100" of snow a year but it's mixed with equal parts rain so the snow level and ice conditions change. Lakes remain frozen but get several inches of rain or melted snow during the warm ups. It's considerably cooler than Vancouver or Seattle. More like Buffalo NY (Temp wise.)

Wow with a maritime climate I didn't think Juneau ever stayed cold long enough to produce pond or lake ice. Thought it similar to Seattle and Vancouver plus a few degrees colder due to latitude.

We slept through it. Well, I did. Others said it rocked pretty good.
