Thanks for the kind comments. There are so many of the beautiful flakes and they don't last long at all. In a way I feel guilty using a point & shoot camera for this, considering all the effort "Snowflake" Bentley went through and the modern artists posting on the internet do for their masterpieces.

In the years before digital cameras, I saw lots of transient natural phenomena worthy of being photographed, but camera equipment was too big and bulky to carry while running. Now there are small versatile digital cameras available that can do most everything that used to take a case of equipment.
