Man, that does look quite unreal. I do love the subtle transition of color in the landscape and its juxtaposition against the deep blue sky. The symmetric composition also works for me in this case, giving it that "almost too perfect" look. . .which as I read it sounds like it could be a bad thing, but once again, I think it works absolutely perfectly!

Beautiful capture of light, contrast between the angularity of the branches(ocotillo?)and softness of the dried plants below (forgot what they are). Lovely shot!
