middletown, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I don't know what kind of Oak this is (if it is). Still looking for a GOOD on-line ID resource. This one isn't listen if the California Oaks links I've found. I also thought it might be a big leaf maple but it doesn't seem to match what I've found on line.

Slipping into darkness. Just a figure of speech with the days getting shorter. My "winter blues" seem to have come early this year and I just want to hibernate. Probably wont be viewing or uploading much for a while. If I can adjust to the cold I'll get out for some sunrises and sunsets but I doubt I'll be "out and about" with my camera otherwise. I really hate the cold (and for me, 40's is pretty cold). Mark
