I would say it looks like it's been raining! :-) We had a large amount of rain in April this year in Somerset which caused various rivers to burst their banks including the river Tone (a tributary of the river that flows thru my town), this caused headaches for farmers who now are faced with acres of wasteland after the water was eventually pumped from the fields. Hope things aren't too bad where you are! Link

Thanks for writing, Charlotte. We were all relieved when it finally stopped raining, that's for sure. A couple more inches would have flooded hundreds of square miles.

Thanks so much for looking and leaving notes, Steve, Bumpuii, and John! It was the most exciting thing this small town has seen in many many years. What we experienced was very mild though compared to south of us. Here's a link to a local TV channels photo gallery:

Great capture,
I only got 5.5" from that nine days of rain, the Pike lake divide works for summer storms too.

About minnesotamom

minnesotamom

Hi! My name is Kathy and I live in northern Minnesota, USA, where the winter temps have dipped down to -60º below zero F. The summers used to be mild but in recent years have been up in the 90ºs. I love being able to travel the world from my office chair, through all your great photos! I've learned tons about photography and editing photos thanks to all the great people on here and their willingness to share tips. Thank you to all you Wunderfriends who take time to look and leave notes---I deeply appreciate it. :-)
