Downsville, NY (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: The bits of color in this picture are buried canoes. I took this photo yesterday morning after about 5 inches of extremely wet snow dropped during the overnight. Freezing rain followed in the morning hours making for some extremely hazardous white-knuckle type driving conditions.

About maureen01

maureen01

I once thought I would always and forever live on an island. I lived in Key West for over 20 years, then moved north (PA/NY border)when Key West became much too populated. In my photo, I'm sailing to Block Island, which I often refer to as "my northern Key West" -- that is, the way Key West was back in the 70s, 80s when I lived there. I work as a therapist with small children for NY State -- the Early Intervention program (kids birth - 3 years). I'm on the road a lot, so try to carry my camera with me. I go through periods where I put my camera aside for awhile, but this site encourages me to keep going and I love the feedback. Very supportive!
