Sandy's Winds on Lake Michigan

Uploaded by: mactoot

Tuesday October 30, 2012

Benton Harbor, MI (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: At the St.Joseph MI lighthouse, the wind was gusting to >50kts. Standing was hard, videography was horrible but I found a spot behind some beach grass that allowed me to capture some still photos.

The power of this storm is inconceivable but your photo gives a remarkable reality to it. This would be an amazing photo without the wind, and with it no words can express. Congratulations on a most deserved AC!

It boggles my mind how huge this storm was. Imagine, from the east coast all the way over to the western lake Michigan shore.

Great shot!

We were in Port Huron today and have seen the lake at its absolute worst. Swells of up to 30 feet were reported.

Chickenman's real name is Benton Harbor.

http://www.the60sofficialsite.com/Chickenman.html

Benton Harbor, a shoe salesman at a large downtown Midland City department store, spends his weekends striking terrific terror into the hearts of criminals everywhere as that fantastic fowl, Chickenman. Or, at least, that's what he tells everyone. In reality, he mostly hangs around the Police Commissioner's office and irritates the Commissioner's secretary, Miss Helfinger.
