Keene, NH (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: She was casually strolling my back yard. We live not far from town. I hope she stays safe. I just learned that the adult daughter of a good friend passed shortly after this deer appeared. Susan was a compassionate, loving and brave person. Now she is without the pain.

I have heard of "The Angel of Death" but this is the first of heard of "The Doe of Death." Not to worry, in ancient Christian history, in the life of one of the male saints, Christ appeared as a stag at first, to capture the hunter's attention. The Stag captured the hunter. MAY SUSAN'S MEMORY BE ETERNAL! (That's what Orthodox Christians say when someone passes.) And, what a beautiful, peaceful way to announce her departure! Who knows? Maybe Susan is strolling with this doe? I wish you good strength during this time of grieving.

I know the loss, my mom passed 10 April,
and 6 friends/family in the year before her.

Sincerely,
Maria

Thank you, Approvers for this AC. I have not yet sent the photo to my friend, Susan's mother, and am pleased now that she will see a blue frame, too.

I just happened to look out the window. Debated -- shall I just watch and enjoy her, or run upstairs for my camera? Glad I ran and got her through a window.

Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as FOUNTAINS OF LIFE. ------ John Muir
