Regarding invasives. this one is that just because it is so beautiful in the fall, and was planted widely for garden decor, and all over our town. Some states have outlawed nurseries selling Winged Eunonymous and other invasives. But sometimes, thoughtful, preventive action comes too late.

So sad…that something so beautiful can be so invasive. Lovely photo just the same.

Amazing, isn't it, that all that beautiful color lurks beneath the green just waiting for the moment when it can outshine summer's beauty???

Actually, the red leaves are a bush. The leaves have fallen on it.

Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as FOUNTAINS OF LIFE. ------ John Muir
