I'm glad that pesky gray marine layer lifted for you to glimpse the mountain. I'm guessing you came through Morton and then made a very slight detour off US-12 to check out Onalaska.

Nice shot! If I drive out to the SE end of this peninsula, I can see this mountain 150 miles east...if it's a clear day. It always takes my breath beautiful.

In true European explorer fashion, when the first white men saw this mountain and named it, they never once considered it might already have a name given to it by those already living in its shadow...Tahoma.
