thanks for commenting everybody! yes, polarbytes, it's just way too dry around here, and with no snow on Mt Shasta, it really creates the awareness - sad. lot's of folks hurting financially too - no skiing this winter even in the Sierras. no water this summer. ranchers in the area already have the water wheels going, things are starting to 'green up' when watered.

That's a frightening shot of Shasta, no snow!!
Doesn't bode well for summer if you guys don't get some snow, huh? Up here in AK NWS is hinting at a change in the blocking high, but not sure it will mean much rain/snow for you.
