Taos, NM (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: 30-40 miles south of Taos. It is zero percent contained yet after about 2 weeks. It is on Wilderness area, with no roads and few trails. Too dangerous to fight on the ground. Most times too windy to fight from the air. Nothing built in the area, so no structures there, and narrow & very steep canyons. Too dangerous for aircraft to fly in there. Had not seen this much smoke for about 10 days til yesterday & today.
