About docshovel39

docshovel39

Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . My older brother Steve turned me on to digital photography eight or so years ago and I have truly enjoyed it - thanks Steve ! My favorite work , apart from his , is a fantastic book entitled "Ghosts In The Wilderness" by photographers Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , many of the photos done in monochrome . I am also a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thanks to the Wunderground community for having me and making the experience so much more enjoyable !
