Exactly, designed for postcards, but already some hundred years ago ... :) Church and monastery had been founded in 845, the settlement itself is even older. Of course, those houses around the marketplace are younger (so called framework houses). The town once had been the last stop for the merchants to spent a night before reaching Frankfurt. I've left the town many years ago, but I come back very often to visit my relatives, especially at Christmas.
