Really? I would be really anxious to
know what kind of seeds they were eating
- if you don't mind sharing? That is quite
exciting as I have never known any type of
seed that attracted them.

I used a seed and berry/nut mix...the ratio is a secret...:)

Thanks! I actually had eight of these beauties visiting and eating seed in my back yard today-the most I have ever seen! It must be due to the cold and icy weather we're having.

About WeatherRose

WeatherRose

Hello,Thanks for taking the time to stop by and view my WunderPhotos. I have been a member of Weather Underground since 2005. I stumbled across the photo section of the website and was amazed at many of the photos I saw. This motivated me to get out and start taking photos again! I had dabbled in photography a little when I was in high school, back in the mid 1980s. My first serious camera was an Olympus OM-10 35mm film camera. I learned many of the fundamentals of photography, but drifted away from the hobby. Recently I have gotten back into it and have tried several different types of cameras. I have used some Sony models, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 micro 4/3 mirrorless, and most recently Nikon DSLR (D5000 and D7100). I like Nikon cameras very much.I was so happy to get my first Approver's Choice award! Since then, I always try to get a photo that I think is unique in some way. My primary subjects are birds and insects, with some landscape and weather photos mixed in. I constantly look forward to getting that next cool photograph. Another thing that I have discovered is that through photography, I have become much better acquainted with the animals and insects. It has opened up a whole new of awareness of the living world. Regards,Chuck
