The earthquake was tectonic in nature? A couple temours were felt in the UK recently (25 Aug) centred in the Irish Sea 3.2 mag. It is thought to be glacial in nature (from the last ice age).

fantastic shot & series Duane. Smoke does make for interesting Sunset Photos, but I know you'd rather just not have the Smoke. Hope that clears up soon for you.
