Vantage, WA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A massive crack in a major Columbia River dam poses enough of a risk of dam failure that Grant County authorities have activated an emergency-response plan. Officials said there is no threat to the public from the crack in the Wanapum Dam, which is just down stream from where Interstate 90 crosses the river. But utility managers are lowering water levels a total of 20 feet because they fear the structure otherwise could endanger inspectors trying to get a better handle on how seriously the dam

Wow Tresa that is a bad one. We have had problems somewhat like that here and they are so hard to fix and time consuming. Have crossed the bridge at Vantage many times and this is a great shot. Arlene

About RadioDJgirl

RadioDJgirl

My name is Tresa, thank you for stopping by to look at and comment on my photos! I'm a native of California, I spent 5 years in Ohio, and 1 year in Iowa before moving to Wenatchee Washington. I am a radio personality, a wife, mother, and a Christian. This site is so addicting and fun! I enjoy sharing my surroundings with you and checking out your photos as well. I love weather/landscape photography, but my real passion is portrait photography, because I like to make people happy when they see how good they can look in a photo. I joined this site around 2003 and you have all taught me so much about photography. I think my first submission was a sort of landscape that I accidentally took on the "flower" setting and someone here helped me out. I think I've learned more here, than I did in my photography class in college. Currently working part time in radio and you can listen on your computer by clicking the listen live button at http://kissin977.com/ or http://kw3.com/
