Post card perfect and lovely. That red barn is beautiful against the white of the house and snow.

Thanks for the interest and comments, Eileen and Susan. We've rented a cottage on the lake less than three miles from this farm for almost 15 years now - feels like home to me too, in this neighborhood!

Thanks so much for looking, and sharing your kind words, Mary, Steve, Lori and Elaine. This is looking at Pleasant Mountain, where Shawnee Peak is, near the Maine/New Hampshire border.

Very lovely photo. Should win a/c. See what you mean about the frozen north. Makes me feel happy to live in Dixie. Although we get occasional deep snow (24" a few years ago) but then it melts in 4 or 5 days. Never have snow on the ground all winter. Of course it does add to the beauty of your photo.

This is beautiful Wilma! There aren't many barns where I live, so I love to see them!

Thanks for looking, and liking, Duane and Steve. I love the richness of the new red stains, almost as much as I love finding an old, weathered barn with remnants of red remaining!

Beautiful rural winter scene! Love that red. Reminds me that our barn could use a coat.
