Gythio, Guadeloupe

Caption: When we got to Gythio we had lunch in a Taverna on the edge of the sea-shore. There they have encouraged a wild Jay to visit the tables in the hope of soliciting titbits. He or she (I can't tell which) was pretty successful. He was certainly pretty interested in both the souvlaki and the beer.

Fascinating that that comparatively homely face should be side by side with such beautiful colors and markings on the wings!

About Granddad

Granddad

We are English, (except our dogs, who are definitely very Greek, having been abandoned strays who took us in out of the kindness of their hearts). We retired to Greece in 2003 to escape the phoney political correctness endemic throughout the Anglo-Saxon world and to mix with some real people again. We live in the Exo-Mani in the extreme South of the Peloponnesus, where the sea and countryside are beautiful and the weather is also less political (i.e. they don't tax sunshine yet). The site provides an opportunity for us to bore the whole world with our snapshots and for which we are duly grateful.
