Thanks!

If you heard this California Scrub Jay
squawking in the Spring, you wouldn't
be very jealous at all. They are really
noisy.

I tried so hard to capture this guy when I was in Wyoming, Arizona, California....and he was illusive. I never could. Now this is my favorite, and he is a 10 +++ Thanks for sharing. :0) Karen

Great series of shots!

I love the Towhees! I don't get many Scrub Jays but an ocassional Stellar Jay announces himself and drops in for some corn.

This looks like a formidable nut for the Scrub Jay to crack!

Happy New Year! Thanks for all the great shots!

Thanks Kat, Steve and James.

We plenty to spare here, James. If I could
I'd put a few in a cage and ship 'em to ya!

They are beautiful birds, but they sure can eat!
They are the first ones to show up when I toss
out seeds in the snow and they pick out all the
sunflower seeds and corn before the smaller birds
can get in there! But, hey...jays have to eat, too!
Wonderful shor and series, Julia!

About Doesiedoats

Doesiedoats

I’m a native Oregonian, born in Tillamook and reared in the greater Portland area. After working in the Bay Area in the semi-conductor industry as a Human Resources Representative, my husband and I retired in 1999, returned to Southern Oregon and settled in the Williams area. Photography interests started early on with a Kodak Box camera and later a Kodak 616 given to me by my father, a semi-professional photographer. After many years of film cameras, the advent of digital photography has expanded my interest in the hobby. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100. The Pacifica Gardens property has become the preferred subject of my photography because of its natural beauty. I have captured all four seasons over the past twelve years. I’m pleased to be able to share some of those photos with my WU friends. Please visit my web site via the link below.************************************************
