Thank you, Julie! My dogs were anxious about the coyotes too. I don't leave them outdoors alone very long, especially at night. Though there is safety in numbers; I doubt coyotes would tackle 8 dogs all at the same time. Still, a friend had one of her Shelties attacked in her fenced yard and badly injured while she was away, by what was believed to be a coyote. Certainly I never leave young PUPPIES alone in the yard under any circumstances. We have enough redtail hawks around here to give me anxiety attacks even without the coyotes.

P.S. - The coyotes surprised Good Boy & I last evening, when the fog was thick, with a loud chorus of very nearby yaps and singsong quarry-chasing sounds. For the first time, Good Boy suddenly decided that he really didn't need to whiz all that much, and he conveyed his anxiousness to me: we went back inside!!!

Marilyn, I honestly have no words in my extensive vocabulary to describe how this photo makes me feel, but it's safe to say that I'm speechless and very moved! Your special tree stood you in good stead on this one, for sure!
