Purple Rain

Uploaded by: ChandlerMike

Tuesday September 13, 2011

Casa Grande, AZ (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: City lights of Phoenix cause the orange-ish-ness, the lightning creates a purple hue elsewhere...one of my favorite shots of the season which is drawing to an end. This could have been the last good night of shooting.

Image Description: This strike illuminates the falling rain in a crazy purple hue, while the city of Phoenix in the background gives another, pale color.

Amazing, beautiful photo.

Don't think the monsoon is over quite yet. Just noticed there is a severe TS warning for Pima County!

Nice pic man, like you stated this may be the last good Monsoon 2011 pic for the year! Yuma had some of this action yesterday on 9-13-2011, it is sad though that here in Yuma yesterday the 13th and the 12th of September, as well as Labor Day was the only time Yuma had any rain or any Thunderstorms, at least most of Pinal-Pima, and Maricopa Counties have had more numerous weather event's this 2011 Monsoon! Even if it was like that major dust storm in July, that part of Arizona has had more storms than Yuma has had, rest in peace Monsoon 2011! Can not wait to see you in 2012!
