Caption: First time appeared under our rose bushes with almost no skin (probably had rolled under a running car). Of course we could not reach him as traumatized as he was. We just kept supplying him with good food and water and he slowly recovered. Several years later, after we trapped him and he was neutered 7 miles from home, he broke the cage, escaped and walked all the way across two very busy highways to come home, Whenever I see him, I remember all these and respect him much.
