I miss these guys in the woods of Cape Cod. Their calls used to be a part of the auditory scape, but they have all but disappeared with all the development on The Cape.

Oh, wow! At first I thought you had taken it in the wild. We used to have so many of them on Cape Cod, but they have disappeared. Our great loss. Their wonderful "Bob White" whistle was a summer sound staple, but no more. (As was the Whippoorwill - no more.) My feeling is one of "ecogrief".
I'll honor the species by admiring him on my desktop for a while, & thank you, Articuno.
