The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northern Lea County in southeastern New Mexico...
northwestern Gaines County in western Texas...

* until 830 am CDT/730 am MDT/

* at 534 am CDT/434 am MDT/, Doppler radar indicated multiple
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
two to three inches of rain have already fallen across some areas
over the last 24 hours. Flash flooding is expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lovington, Tatum, McDonald, Caprock, Buckeye, Knowles, Maljamar,
Crossroads, Gladiola and Tatum Airport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
