At 1115 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Newtown to near Mullica Hill to near Mount Pleasant,
moving east at 45 mph. A trained weather spotter reported several
large tree branches in Wilmington as these storms passed.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Source... trained weather spotters.

Impact... expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Philadelphia, Trenton, Camden, Wilmington, Vineland, Millville,
Bridgeton, Middletown, Gloucester City, Cherry Hill, Bensalem,
Evesham, Mount Laurel, Ewing, Norristown, Chester, Willingboro,
Deptford, Voorhees and Medford.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

... The flood advisory remains in effect until 115 am EDT for Berks
and northwestern Montgomery counties...

At 1120 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported minor flooding in
portions of Berks County from heavy rain that occurred earlier in
the evening. Though storms have moved out of the advisory area,
runoff will continue to pose problems for the next couple of hours
in urban and poor drainage areas.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
reading, Pottstown, Wyomissing, Birdsboro, Kutztown, Hamburg,
Fleetwood, Sinking Spring, Laureldale, East Greenville, Womelsdorf,
Wernersville, Newmanstown, Topton, Leesport, Adamstown,
Shoemakersville, Bally, Bernville and Bechtelsville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
