The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
northern Knox County in northeastern Nebraska...
northwestern Cedar County in northeastern Nebraska...

* until 145 PM CDT

* at 101 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Freeman to 5 miles northeast of Springfield to
7 miles south of Lynch, moving east at 45 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Verdigre, Niobrara, Santee, Verdel, Gavins Point dam and
campgrounds, St. Helena boat dock, Lindy, Santee reservation and
Lewis And Clark state Recreation Area.

This includes Highway 81 in Nebraska between mile markers 209 and
212.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Lewis And Clark Lake, get away from the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
