... A cluster of developing strong thunderstorms will affect
northeastern Harnett... southwestern wake and Johnston counties
until 600 PM EDT...

At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles east of Clayton to
6 miles west of Smithfield to Angier. Movement was east at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Smithfield, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Angier, Benson, Holly
Springs, Micro, Selma and Coats.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts of this
magnitude are capable of producing tree damage, including isolated
instances of knocking down small or weakened trees.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
