Temperatures this afternoon will rise into the mid 90s across the
Kansas City Metro, and will combine with rising humidity to bring
heat indices into the 101-104 degree range. This combination of
heat and humidity could lead to heat-related illness if proper
precautions are not taken, particularly for the elderly and those
without access to air conditioning.
