Special Statement

... Coastal flooding possible through mid-week...

Coastal flooding, associated with a combination of high tides and
higher than normal water levels, will be possible through
Wednesday. These tides will roll in on top of sea levels raised
by an eddy moving through the area. Observed water levels around
the islands are running as much as a foot above the values shown
by tide predictions. Visit tidesandcurrents.NOAA.Gov for observed
and forecast tides and water levels in your area.

Peak water levels will occur during the afternoons and evenings.
During this time, you may encounter flooding of beach areas that
are normally dry, inundation of docks, boat ramps and other
coastal infrastructure. Be prepared for salt water covering some
roads.

Coastal flooding will end during the second half of next week as
the peak daily tides diminish.
