Special Weather Statement issued by Environment.  09:12 AM PDT Tuesday 22 August 2017.
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain.

Radar indicates that thunderstorms are developing currently over the Central Interior west of Quesnel and Prince George and are expected to continue northeast this evening. As they advance they have the potential to become severe and are forecast to weaken later this evening.

Very large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
