Special Statement
Issued: 10:39 PM PST Dec. 1, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Colder weather is in store for western Washington early next
week...
... A threat of isolated landslides continues...

A cold front will sweep across western Washington Sunday morning
and usher in a colder air mass. The snow level is forecast to
fall to near 500 feet at most places Sunday afternoon. However,
the air mass will undergo some drying. Therefore, most of the
showers will be confined to the Cascades and within a convergence
zone. This means that elevations above the 500 foot level within
the convergence zone could receive a inch or two of wet snow.

Another low pressure pressure system may bring the possibility of
widespread lowland snow late Sunday night into Monday morning,
with accumulating snowfall possible. This could have an adverse
impact on the Monday morning commute.

Meanwhile, soils remain saturated from heavy rainfall that fell
during the past several weeks. This will maintain the risk of
isolated landslides.
