The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
east central Harney County in southeastern Oregon...
northwestern Malheur County in southeastern Oregon...

* until 500 PM MDT /400 PM PDT/.

* At 416 PM MDT /316 PM PDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along
a line extending from near Coleman Mountain to near follyfarm flat,
moving northeast at 30 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near...
Coleman Mountain and Dunnean around 320 PM PDT.
Warm Springs Reservoir and Riverside around 430 PM MDT.
Dowell Butte, Mosquito Mountain and Hat Butte around 440 PM MDT.
Juntura around 450 PM MDT.
Crowley, Turnbull Mountain, Jonesboro and Monument Peak around 500
PM MDT.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

If on or near Warm Springs Reservoir, get away from the water and
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out
to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

When safe to do so, please relay storm reports to the National
Weather Service in Boise via local law enforcement, or National
Weather Service Boise facebook and twitter accounts.

At 357 PM MDT /257 PM PDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Coleman Mountain to
near tencent lake. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Nickel size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Coleman Mountain and Venator around 300 PM PDT.
Follyfarm flat, Malheur cave and Dunnean around 310 PM PDT.
Warm Springs Reservoir, Duck Creek Butte, Turnbull Peak and
Riverside around 420 PM MDT.
Dowell Butte, Mosquito Mountain and Hat Butte around 430 PM MDT.
Juntura, Crowley, Jonesboro and Sacramento Butte around 440 PM
MDT.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
