... Winter Storm Watch now in effect from late tonight through
Thursday afternoon for the south Willamette Valley... the central
Oregon Coast Range... and the south Oregon Cascade foothills...

The Winter Storm Watch is now in effect from late tonight through
Thursday afternoon.

* Timing... beginning before sunrise Thursday morning and
continuing through much of Thursday.

* Snow accumulations... 1 or 2 inches of snow is possible Thursday
morning in the foothills and Coast Range... light accumulations
of less than an inch in the south Willamette Valley.

* Ice accumulations... one to two tenths of inch of ice is possible
Thursday morning... perhaps lasting into the early afternoon.

* Impacts... travel will be difficult as some brief snow
accumulations change to sleet and then freezing rain and
roads become snow and ice covered and slick.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
