The Flood Warning continues for
the Portneuf River at Pocatello.
* At 11:01 am Thursday the stage was 9.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will rise slightly to near 9.9 feet by early
Saturday morning. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact... at 10.0 feet... significant flooding of agricultural land
will occur from the Inkom and Blackrock area. Lowland flooding will
occur along sections of the river in Pocatello from portnuef gap to
the Cheyenne Avenue bridge and downstream of the Concrete channel
beginning at Sacajawea Park.

... Snow, slush, ice to present difficult driving conditions
through Wednesday morning...

Another 2 to 4 inches of snow will fall east of Interstate 15
today. Some will melt this afternoon, but will likely freeze again
tonight blanketed by another 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight and
tomorrow. The result will be ice and snow-covered roads along
portions of Highway 20 and 33 north and east of Rexburg, Highway
26 east of Ririe as well as portions of highways 30 and 89,
particularly above 6000 ft. Be prepared for winter-like driving
conditions.
