Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 10:28 PM MST Feb. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 11 am to 6 PM MST
Tuesday for wind and low relative humidity for the Front Range
foothills below 7500 feet...

* affected area... fire weather zones 215 and 216.

* Timing... fire danger will increase by noon on Tuesday and
continue into early Tuesday evening.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* Relative humidity... as low as 14 percent.

* Impacts... if a fire starts, it will be capable of spreading
rapidly through grasses and brush due to the strong winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and very warm temperatures
will contribute to extreme fire behavior.
