Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:31 AM CST Jan. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... areas of dense fog will reduce the visibility to
near one quarter mile at times across portions of southwestern
Missouri and far southeastern Kansas early this morning.

* Impacts... sudden changes in visibility will occur over a short
distance including along interstates 49 and 44.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
