Issued: 3:17 PM CDT Mar. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM this
evening to 7 am CDT Friday...

* locations... the Minnesota arrowhead, the Iron Range, areas
north of the Iron Range, and as far south as the Duluth area.

* Timing... expect a wintry mix to develop this evening, continue
through the wee hours of Friday morning, and then diminish by
around dawn Friday.

* Ice accumulations... a light glaze of ice, but possibly as much
as a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Snow accumulations... less than a half inch.

* Impacts... ice, snow, and light sleet accumulations may create
slippery Road conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for mixed precipitation means a mixture
of freezing rain, snow, and sleet is expected. Small
accumulations of ice are expected on untreated roads and
sidewalks. Anyone with travel plans should be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down when driving and allow for extra
stopping distance because you may lose control of your vehicle if
you try to slow down or stop quickly.
