... Lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM CST
Friday...

* locations... northern portions of Bayfield and Ashland
counties... including the cities of Washburn... Bayfield and
Ashland.

* Timing... light to moderate snow showers lingering through
tonight.

* Snow accumulations... an additional 1 to 3 inches from late
evening through Friday morning. A spotter 4 miles east of Iron
River reported around 9 inches of snow since Wednesday night.

* Winds... northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Visibilities... as low as a quarter mile at times.

* Impacts... the snowfall will create slippery and snow covered
roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake-effect snow is forecast
that will make travel difficult in some areas. Lake-effect snow
showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be
intense enough to drop several inches in localized areas. Use
caution when traveling.
